The CLD head office team have been working with the Lea valley Cat Protection League to help rescue a cat who had decided to set up home in a coach builders’ yard next door to the company head office, along with her three kittens that she had delivered in the last few weeks.
After helping on Saturday afternoon when the mother and one kitten were rescued, the team from the Cat Protection League stayed until late Saturday night and returned most of Sunday, when another kitten was rescued. This was followed on Monday evening when the third and final kitten succumbed to a bit of hunger and finally allowed himself to be rescued.
All are now being looked after by a foster carer. The mother who is chipped, had been missing form a local home since June 2022, and once she has recovered from her ordeal and has had a chance rest will be reunited with her owner. The kittens who are still a little feral will hopefully be homed once they have learnt to be well behaved little house cats!
CLD would like to thank all at the Lea Valley protection team including rescue and capture volunteers, Vicki and Annie, and co-ordinator, Pat for their volunteering, time and dedication. We would encourage everyone to donate to the local branch, so that they can continue to help rescue and return home or, re-home all cats that have found themselves lost and forgotten. Donate Here!
